Betsy Shortell: Harvard University

Betsy Shortell began her career at Harvard University in 2001 as Operations Manager for Parking Services. After helping transform the Parking operation, she was promoted to Manager of Harvard University Mail Services (HUMS) in 2007, and again to Director of Mail and Distribution Services in 2013. Betsy has achieved remarkable success over her 30+ year career including being a former board member of the NEPC, holding the Vice President position in 2006-2007. She was also appointed to the Executive Board of the Boston Postal Customer Council, as well as several regional and national postal executive boards. Betsy holds multiple professional certifications within the mailing industry and is now bringing her considerable knowledge and management experience to lead the Parking and CommuterChoice departments at Harvard. Betsy is a graduate of the Harvard University Extension School holding a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, with a concentration in Humanities, and a Master of Liberal Arts with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources.
